Woman Charged with Attempted Murder for Stabbing Two People at Cadillac Motel
A woman is in custody after police say she stabbed two people in Cadillac.
At around 7:29 Saturday morning, Cadillac Police were dispatched to the Economy Inn on S. Mitchell Street for the report of an assault where two people had been stabbed.
Once on scene, officers found a 29 year-old Cadillac man and a 21 year-old Cadillac woman suffering from multiple stab wounds.
Police say the suspect, a 26 year old Cadillac woman, had fled the scene.
EMS responded to the scene and took both victims to Munson Cadillac for treatment.
The victims were later taken to Munson in Traverse City and they are currently listed in serious, but stable condition.
Through the course of their investigation, police located the suspect at a home in Cherry Grove Township.
That suspect was 26-year-old Miranda Turpin.
She was taken into custody and charged with two counts of attempted murder.
She will be back in court on May 22nd for a probably cause hearing.
