Three Charged After Theft Leads Deputies to Suspected Meth Lab
The three people arrested after an investigation of thefts lead deputies to a suspected meth lab, have now been charged.
At around 8 o’clock Friday morning, Clare County deputies received a report of a theft at a Hayes Township concrete business.
Detectives were able to determine that the suspect was 38 year-old Jason Methner of Clare and identified the vehicle he used during the crimes.
Police later found that vehicle at a home in the area of Harrison Avenue and Washington in Grant Township.
Investigators conducted a search of the home and reportedly found Methner hiding in the garage.
They also allegedly located stolen cameras, a meth lab, and several meth lab components in the garage as well.
Methnert, 48 year-old Matthew Johnson of Farwell, and 35 year old Katheryn Durfee were all lodged at the Clare County Jail.
All three have been have been arraigned and face charges including Operating Meth Lab.
