Person Of The Week: Lt. Travis House
This week’s Person of the Week is law enforcement officer that was recently promoted to a position that effects much of Northern Michigan.
Lt. Travis House has been named public information officer for the Michigan State Police 7th District.
The district spans from Cadillac all the way to the Mackinac Bridge.
As PIO and Spokesperson for the Seventh District, House is now responsible for interacting with and helping the news media.
House is a native of the Cadillac area, attending Mesick High School before getting his associate’s degree from NMC in Traverse City.
He enlisted with the MSP in 1998 and has previously served at the former Reed City Post and the Cadillac Post.
So, for his years of service to Northern Michigan, Lt. Travis House is this week’s person of the week.
If you know of someone who’s working hard in their own community, creating something new in the area, or just affecting northern Michigan in their own special way and you’d like to nominate them — send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Tell us who you’d like to nominate for the person of the week, why you think they should receive that title, and how we can reach them — Each week, we’ll broadcast one of these nominees as the “Person of the Week.”
