Person Of The Week: Gerald Lindquist
This week’s Person of the Week is a man that has served Michigan agriculture for nearly 4 decades.
Gerald Lindquist is a Field Crops and Grazing Educator at the MSU Extension in Osceola County.
Lindquist has been with the extension since 1982, but prior to his 36 year career, he graduated from MSU with a degree in agriculture and natural resources education.
He taught in a downstate school for some time, but later moved to Reed City.
Lindquist was eventually promoted to extension director, but later transitioned into his current position.
But now, at the age of 60, he is retiring.
So, for his dedication to giving farmers the information they need, Gerald Lindquist is this week’s person of the week.
If you know of someone who’s working hard in their own community, creating something new in the area, or just affecting northern Michigan in their own special way and you’d like to nominate them — send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Tell us who you’d like to nominate for the person of the week, why you think they should receive that title, and how we can reach them — Each week, we’ll broadcast one of these nominees as the “Person of the Week.”
