Pedestrian Hit & Killed After Crossing Busy Roadway in Mason Co.
Emergency crews responded to a serious traffic crash on US-10 Saturday in Mason County.
A pedestrian walking across US-10 near the Applebee’s Restaurant was hit and killed by oncoming traffic.
The pedestrian identified as 20 year-old Jordan James of Pentwater was struck by an eastbound 2010 Ford F-150 pickup traveling in the inside lane.
James then landed in the outside lane and was struck by a 2012 Chevy Silverado pickup and a 2005 Dodge Neon.
All 3 drivers cooperated with investigators and submitted to blood tests.
Neither alcohol nor drugs appear to have been contributing factors.
Deputies say James did not use a crosswalk, which was approximately 700 feet west, and was wearing dark clothing.
James would have turned 21 on Sunday.
