MDOT Unveils Interactive Construction Plan Map
Those looking to get an idea of the work being planned for the roads this year can download a map showing the various projects.
Called the Paving the Way state construction map, MDOT released the 2018 version on Monday.
MDOT says the yearly construction map is a snapshot of the work planned to improve Michigan’s roads and bridges throughout the year.
It is also a useful tool to help drivers prepare for work zones.
Some of the big projects planned for this year include a two-year overpass conversion for I-96 and I-196 in Grand Rapids, a two-year bridge replacement along US-2 in Escanaba, and multiple resurfacing projects along I-75 in the northern lower peninsula.
The map is available online and is kept up to date.
