Mancelona Man Sentenced Up to 20 Years Behind Bars for Breaking into Ski Lodge, Hotel
Johnny Ray Rossman, the Mancelona man found guilty for breaking into a ski lodge and hotel will now spend up to 20 years behind bars.
Rossman was convicted back in early January after he stole an ATV, computers and money from a northern Michigan ski lodge and hotel.
To give a recap the suspect broke into AmericInn Lodge and Suites and was later found after crashing a stolen ATV in Charlevoix County.
The suspect fingerprints were found in the ski lodge and on the stolen items.
Police tell us this is not Rossman’s first run in with police.
He has previously been convicted of seven felonies and two misdemeanors.
Rossman was charged with breaking and entering and for being a habitual offender.
“Burglaries carry a thread of violation to the victims. This incident extended that sense of violation to many in the community who value the safety and traditions of Mt. McSauba. All the items that were stolen, lost and damaged are dwarfed by the feeling of violation and trespass felt by the break in.”
