Man Severely Injured After Getting Arm Caught in Log Splitter
A man was hospitalized with threatening injuries after his arm was severely injured in a work accident.
At around 10 o’clock Wednesday morning, Clare County deputies responded to an industrial accident in the 6000 block of N. Clare Ave. in Frost Township.
According to deputies, a 33 year-old Harrison man had a near amputation of his arm.
Deputies arrived and soon rendered aid to the man until EMS could get on scene.
It was later found that he was trying to remove a piece of wood that jammed in a wood processing machine when his arm got caught in the log splitter stage.
The man was treated and flown to a downstate hospital for life threatening injuries.
The incident remains under investigation by MIOSHA.
