Man Allegedly Threatened a County Clerk’s Office on Election Day
Deputies are looking to speak with a man that allegedly threatened a county clerk’s office.
According to the Manistee County Sheriff’s Office, a man walked into vote at the Dickson Township hall around 7:28 Tuesday night.
The man reportedly wanted to vote and the officials began the process of checking his registration.
Officials found that the man was registered to vote in Isabella County, at which point, he contacted their clerk’s office.
Deputies say the man then threatened the Isabella County clerk’s office and said something akin to “burning down or “blowing up” the office.
The man is currently a Manistee County resident and the sheriff’s office has his identity, but have not located him.
The incident remains under investigation.
