Grand Traverse County Man Arrested for Domestic Violence, Pulling Woman by Hair at Hotel
A man is in custody following reports of a domestic assault at a hotel.
At 4:15 Sunday morning, Grand Traverse Sheriff’s deputies were called to a hotel at 1401 US-31 North to investigate a domestic assault.
Deputies say a night supervisor heard yelling and screaming from a second floor hallway and called 911.
Shortly after that, 21 year-old a woman arrived at the front desk with a fresh cut above her eye asking for a bandage.
A review of the hallway video reportedly showed a man dragging the woman by her hair down the hall and kicking her in the head and torso.
The man fled the area before police arrived.
Deputies gathered evidence and statements and turned over what they had to day shift.
At approximately 8:30 that morning, a deputy found the 19 year-old suspect at his home in Paradise Township.
He was taken into custody and lodged at the Grand Traverse County Jail.
A report was sent to the prosecutor’s office for felony aggravated assault charges.
