GoFundMe Set Up for Building Dedicated to Father, Daughter Killed in Accident
A GoFundMe has been set up to create a memorial building in honor of a father and daughter killed in an accident in June.
14-year-old Kaitlynn Scott and her father Eric Scott were walking their dog along Webster Road in Oceana County when they were hit by a car.
Rescue workers pronounced Kaitlynn dead at the scene, while Eric succumbed to his injuries a week later.
According to the GoFundMe page, Kaitlynn was a member of her local 4H club and showed her mule at the county fairgrounds.
The 14-year-old is said to have touched many lives and the building will be a place where fellow 4H members and the community can remember her.
It will be built on the infield of the fairgrounds horse racing arena and is estimated to coast around seven thousand dollars to build.
Chad Coker, the page’s organizer has pledged to cover the entire cost but welcomes the community to pitch in.
