Driver Injured, Road Closed When Truck Rolls Over
A driver was injured and a major road was shut down Wednesday morning when a truck rolled over.
The crash happened on Garfield Road in Grand Traverse County at approximately 7 o’clock in the morning.
That when Grand Traverse County Deputies were called to the single vehicle rollover crash.
Deputies say a truck carrying road paint was southbound when the driver lost control.
The truck then ran off the roadway and rolled over and down an embankment.
The truck spilled paint and damaged the guardrail when it rolled.
The driver, a 24-year-old from Lake City, was taken to Munson for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation and police do not believe drugs or alcohol were factors.
The closure is so crews can clean up the spill and replace the guardrail.
Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes, traffic is being detoured on Three Mile Road to East Potter Road.
