Baker College, CTC Lose Power After Truck Hits Pole
Some homes, business, and schools in Cadillac lost power after a semi hit a utility pole.
That crash happened around noon Tuesday at the intersection of 13th St. and Meyer Ave.
Fire crews were dispatched there for the reports of wires down.
On scene, a power pole could be seen in pieces, with the top dangling to the side of the road.
Consmers Energy says around 60 of their customers lost power due to the crash.
Those included Baker College, the YMCA, and Wexford-Missaukee Career Tech Center.
Traffic was also slowed as crews worked to repair the pole.
The semi driver was not injured and the truck didn’t appear to have any damage.
Power was restored to the 60 customers around 3:30 in the afternoon, according to consumers.
