Attempted Breaking and Entering by Two Cadillac Teens
Early Friday morning, officers from the Cadillac Police Department responded to a call regarding two suspicious suspects on Haynes Street just West of N. Lake Street.
Upon arriving, officers were able to locate only one of the two reported suspects.
However, as the officers were searching the immediate area they found the second suspect hiding in a nearby garage.
Officers also found damage to the rear door of Norge Village Laundry, which appeared to be the result of someone trying to break into the business.
Both suspects are juveniles with one being a 15-year-old male from Cadillac, and the second a 14-year-old male, also from Cadillac.
Through the course of the investigation, officers learned that the two boys had in fact tried to break into Norge Village as well as being involved in entering the Cadillac Junior High School, along with several others.
It is unknown at this time whether any property has been taken.
The two boys were taken into custody and later turned over to their parents.
The report is being forwarded to the Wexford County Probate Court, requesting several charges, including breaking and entering, possession of burglary tools and curfew violation.
