Sure would love to be able to pull this station in in Interlochen

  2. We just discovered MI26 and we really enjoy it. Is there a program guide for 26.3 Cinema?

  3. Your film crew was at the Missaukee Agricultural Youth Show the first week in August. Is there ant way to get more of what was filmed besides what was on your news clip? You could post extras on YouTube.

  4. I tried to scan the 26 channels on my mother’s tv when i visited last weekend. But rescanning didn’t find them. Do these channels reach the west side of Lake City? I think she would really enjoy the content if she could get them.

  5. Lynn,

Thanks for your interest in our station. You should be able to pick us up from the west side of Lake City. If you haven’t already, check out the following page:

There’s some tips on receiving our signal. We’re a low-power TV station, so you’ll often need to tweak your antenna a bit to optimize reception — re-scanning between each adjustment. TVs tend to be picky about finding stations during a re-scan, but once they’ve “found’ a channel, they’re more lenient about signal strength.

  6. Just wanted to tell you about a new soup kitchen opening Jan. 25th in Harrison. We have been working on this charity for over a year and Jan. 25th will be our opening day. Please let the people of Clare County know about this facility. Free meals available on wednesday and fridays to start, 11:30 am till 1 pm,
    St Athanasius Church in Harrison.

  7. When you are scrolling pertinent breaking information it is hard to read it because it’s background is the on-air screen. My suggestion is to reformat the background of your scrolling info to make it a solid color. This will allow your viewers to read all your breaking news and having the script blend into the background.

How can I get upcoming events listed with you?

  9. I would also like to know who we can list things in the community events section. Thank you!

  10. If you have an event you’d like to list in the community news section, please email news@minews26.com — while we can’t feature every event that’s submitted, we do our best to include as many as possible.

    Thanks!

Attn Laura Jasper: I have a Prisoner of War dvd that I would like to forward to you. It contains first hand accounts and we hope it would help explain our POW/MIA issues. If I could have an address to send it to I will ship immediately. Thanks Jerry Langhann President Michigan Chapter 1 231-723-2715

  12. Hi Jerry, our address is 320 West 13th Street. Cadillac, Mi 49601

  13. Hi Eric,
I am located about two miles north of your tower site and am viewing your stations OTA. Lately your signal has been dropping in and out. Just wondering if it’s on my end or yours. Also since your lightening strike I’ve been getting a test signal on 26.4. Is there an additional sub channel coming our way?
    Thanks

  14. Charles,

Do you have an indoor or outdoor antenna, and do you know if it’s amplified (that is, has a power cord in addition to the one running to your TV?)

We’re using a backup encoder since the lightning strike took our main one out (we’re still waiting for the replacement to arrive), and because of the way the backup unit is configured it broadcasts a fourth subchannel, hence the color bars. That said… yes, a true 26.4 is coming soon… stay tuned for more details!

  15. Hello, I am Izzy Lyman, MI editor of Watchdog Wire. Do you ever use freelancers to cover Emmet County?

  16. I enjoy your station but wonder if you have ever tried watching it. My complaint is the extreme variation in audio levels. I find myself having to adjust the volume at almost every segment and commercial.

  17. I know your station, or at least your sponsors, advertise Shepard’s Table on your station, and you might have even done a story that, as a new viewer, I likely could have missed. What I’m wondering is if you could do a story that while telling people about the function, would also highlight my mother. She’s been an active volunteer for them for almost ten years, and loves it. I’m sure she’d flip when the cameras came in, as they sometimes do, then ask for her instead of the director. If you could please correspond at my supplied e-mail, that would be great. Otherwise, keep up the good work. Also, I love how in the “Today in History” section, when it gets to the music history, 90% of the time, it has to do with The Beatles.
