775 Consumer’s Energy customers in the Cadillac area were without power earlier today after a high-voltage transmission line failed this morning.

Consumer’s Energy told MI News 26 that the 138,000 volt power line, which is owned and operated by ITC Transmission, went out at about 10:40 this morning. Numerous customers in and around Cadillac’s industrial park were without power for several hours due to the incident; power was restored to many of those customers shortly after noon.
